Awww, Peace, Quiet, do you hear it?
It has been another busy week.
I am in need of a restful moment.
Besides moving furniture around, rebuilding a reading/craft area for the GrandLoves,
I finally also moved an antique/re-purpose dresser into 'my space' just for me.
No matter how often I make notes to myself to 'finally' organize my photos and clean-up some room on my PC for more, something interferes every time, usually this bod. Besides, not being able to stay at it, leg so numb, hip screaming, oh...
let's just not go there.
Bill is my 'constant.' Thank God for him.
He, at least, has been able to enjoy his retirement. We start each day with coffee and breakfast together, made by him. Thanks Babe!
He then goes off to his 'happy place,' making working with his saw, tractor, dump trailer. He fixes things. Always fixing things.
Just this morning, as we look out the window and see that the pool has collapsed, again, he says,
"Maybe we can 'fix' that." The patches did not hold, the seams are bad, so I say, "Honey, that pool has seen it's day. It's 5 yrs. old already and it has provided summers of fun. How bout we just call it good and get another one?" To my amazement, he agreed. I think he has plans for the heavy plastic, I could tell by the gleam in his eyes.
This morning, his brother calls so Bill's off to the sawmill he and his brother built, to cut another load of lumber. I asked what his plans are for all that lumber. He is going to build a new storage building to replace what was blown away in a storm last fall. I'm so glad he knows how to do these things.
Note to self: find and show my faithful blog readers the sawmill....it's quite the operation.
Now, back to mundane housework, then a bit more photo cleansing, pull some onions, cut some chard, weed. Where does the day go?
Have a great week.
I hope to walk in water again tomorrow,
and visit our son and his family at the campground. Oh, more photo opportunity awaits.
BlessYa

thanks for sharing that peaceful scene with us - even if you feel like you've got too much to do in a day!
I'm so glad you have time to blog, as we would miss your photos my friend.
oh sawmill! At the Clearing in Ellison Bay they use sawdust on their walking paths through the woods...it is silent walking...it is fabulous....get yourself some for your paths....you will think you are walking on a cloud....
I would love to see a blog about their sawmill. We used to have an old sawmill near us when I was growing up. One of my favorite smells in the world is freshly cut wood. Reminds me of my dad!
I've been trying to find the time to clean up my files, and I never can seem to find the time..
So much to do in the summer...but I sure do love it...
Good luck with the new pool!
have a great tomorrow...and many blessings
Yes it is wondrful that your hubby knows how to do all those handy things. My Mel was like that and I sure miss it. John knows how to raise cattle and grow peanuts but not so good around the house.
It is a joy to see you and Bill together. What family is all about.
Always enjoy my visit here. today is a rush job, not enough power to run every thing, and rough sig here in the mts. But life is good.
