Finally, it looks like the meltdown is about to begin.
We had a heatwave today. It was all the way up to 44 degrees, yes, Fahrenheit.
We are seeing the beginning of the end of our long winter.
Oh, we don't allow ourselves to get too excited, for there will surely be at least one more blast of cold and certainly, more snow. But for today, I am very happy.
The sun was shining most the day, the birds were singing, even the neighbor's dog seemed to have more yip in her yelp.
Soon enough the cabin doors will be flung open, the windows raised and the fresh air will pour in reminding me to flip the mattresses, air the bedding, and fold the woolen blankets.
Wake up, wake up Dar, you're dreaming again.
Spring will not cover WI. for at least another month or so.
Silly girl, see what one day of Jan. Thaw can do. I don't care. I'm sticking with my story like the snow sticks to my mittens and teases me once again.
After the tracks are not so quickly visible, and not until the last crystal of ice melts from the waters,
THEN, and only THEN,
it will finally be time~~~
Time to hold the earth in my hands and plant spring.
Until then,
Thanks for stopping and reading to this point,
You're so kind.

Wish I could send you some of the sunshine we had today. We usually have a real cold spell in February. Well I mean cold for us. lol
I'm with Paula, we could have spared some.

Thanks for an interesting read as usual.
Love you girl
Sherry & Jack from down here.
Hey....those were some good thoughts and dreams. I love that first picture. Is that a river or creek that runs through your place? Beautiful...
Hang in there....Spring will be here soon..
hugs
These warm days do really get us dreaming about spring. I feel we were cheated this winter. I want a good old fashioned snow storm. My fear... with the warm weather, the bears will come out of hibernation and be crabbier than ever..
It got up to 70 in Ne. Monday. We were opening doors and windows. Supposed to get a big snow storm starting tonight. So I know what you mean about spring in winter.
We are heading for a freezing time here. Love your post.
It was lovely, but I'm sure we'll get more snow. That warm weather just jerks us around!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I read your comments on Jack's.
I am not good on this computer
I need to take a computer course.
I used one at work but only for
business. (I can't believe I have
been retired 9 years.)
When they change things it puts
me in a tizzy. Maybe I will advance a little. LOL

Loved reading your point. However, you know Puxatawny Phil saw his shadow today - so there will be six more weeks of winter. When quizzed by a reporter, he said, "Well...I am never wrong...because I didn't name a specific place. Somewhere in the world there will be six more weeks of winter! My fear is not the grouchy bears. My fear is the trees here will be too far along in the budding process and we get zapped with another freeze, killing the fruit in the buds. It makes for poor pickings from the apple tree. But then we can always go to the grocers and buy some from up north. Hahahahaha ☻
"Dars Stuffings" has been included in this weeks Sites To See. I hope this helps to attract many new visitors here.

Soon, only a few more weeks, hopefully, and spring will be here.
Jerry sent me.
Thanks for stopping by to visit. I am humbled and honored by your comment.
Hi Dar, Seems like even Wisconsin is not having as frigid a winter this year too.... Here in TN, we have had a very mild winter.. I just wish we'd have at least one nice snowfall... Oh Well!!!!
Hope you and your family are all doing well.
Hugs,
Betsy
