Rain, Hail, Shadows, Let's Bake

YES, we finally got some measurable rainfall yesterday afternoon. It came and went within 15 minutes but , how we needed it. By the picture, you can see how hard it was pouring off the roof, the small hail was skipping off the rocks and the fog was drifting in all at the same time. The temperature dropped 26 degrees in less than 10 minutes from 90 to 64 degrees. It was a torrential downpour as the river of water rushed down the driveway and around the house. But...
Soon it was all over, soaked into the dry ground and already this morning, is dried off in spite of rains the better part of the night.
Thank You Lord, for the much needed rains.
Ben kept saying, ' Do you see him? Do you see him? ' Upon a closer look, I see what he was seeing....do you see him? It's his Daddy's reflection in the window.
The house cooled off just enough last night to satisfy a huge chocolate craving with peanut butter frosting on top.....mmmmm, mmmm, Good!
Have a Wonderful Spring Day
God IS SO Good

There was a song in my youth that had a line it it, "There you said it again!"

Sooooo, there yousaid the C word again.

What a rain, and temp. drop. That is amazing. But we too are glad you got some water. we had a drought a few years ago we will never forget.

Don't you just love the discovery mode of the children, amazed at reflections. They learn so small.

I had to laugh yesterday, the young man who works for Mark was thrilled. YOu know what I just learned today? A raisen is a dried grape!

He is 26 years old and an Air condition specialist. Ever learning I guess.

But I do love the innocence of Ben's statement.

Love you guys way up north,
Sherry & Jack

Thats the way it is here. Lots of rain and then dry the next day but you can bet we're thankful to God for each drop he sends. Hope you get more soon.

Hi Dar, thanks for your comment over at my place. Wish we could have sent you some of the abundant rain we had here in NE Ohio this spring! Whoa...you didn't include a recipe for that chocolate thing with the peanut butter frosting. Do you have time to send it to me? That looks like something that would be great for our Memorial Day weekend indulgences!

Glad you got some rain! We are expecting some stormy weather and possibly hail today, I could do without the hail!

Hi Dar...so glad you stopped by CollectInTexas Gal today to see the old Maytag! It really brought back lots of memories for me, too. Like you, I helped Mama with those heavy Jeans and my Daddy's white, pearl button western shirts through the wringer. Those shirts got the first washing and the jeans the dirtier last washing. Can't say I miss the work, but sure miss the times. BTW...nice rain pictures.

Are those white spots hail or just rain drops?? We do not like hail because we do not have a garage and our old Taurus does not need anything to make it look worse.

Glad for your rain. It's something we continue to need, even though parts of TN had more than they wanted for a few days. Our rains here are spotty these days - but we thank God for whatever He sends our way.

Love the looks of that chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting! Chocolate and peanut butter always go good together.

Thanks for the good blog.

Glad that you got some rain. I know you need much more than what you had this particular day, but it is a start!

Your little Ben is so cute!

And that cake is just SO tempting! Is that by any chance the chocolate dump cake that you shared the recipe a while back? Have a favor to ask...would you be willing to share your recipe for the peanut butter frosting?
