Moon Flower seed pod
I recieved this striking plant as a gift from my aunt this spring, knowing only what the seed pod looked like....what I was unaware of was the beautiful large bloom that this small, ground hugging plant she had, was going to surprise me with....
Now, I am pleased to see my own seed pod hopefully develop to maturity so I can share....The real fun part for me is that this plant is a perennial in our zone 3-4 area....now, isn't that a hoot....
Enjoy and love your day away into the starlit night...

Beautiful! I tried to grow a moonflower once, it bloomed one pitiful bloom & then promptly died. :(
I hope yours will flourish and you'll have a garden of them blooming beautifully.
Wishing you a lovely rest of the week! :)
Its just such a fascinating plant ~ gotta love it!
Hmmm. Looks like an angel trumpet to me. Moonflowers are "viney".
AND they tend to bloom at night!
How did you harvest these seeds? I have a huge plant with tons of seed pods. I'm not sure if I should let them dry on the vine or clip them off and then let them dry.
