HS Graduation / Family Reunion ~~~

Congratulations Jacob!
Nephew Jacob, the big guy at the head of the table, graduated from high school this year. Since he lives way down in central Illinois, and all this side of the family lives way up here in north central Wisconsin, we Had to have a celebration in his honor while he and his parents were home. Sitting with him, is his tight-knit young man cousins, L to R, Tyler, Duston and on his right is Brandon. When these fellas get together, which isn't often, since they all live a distance from one another, they have a good time reuniting.
Also reuniting were their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, little cousins, Great aunts and uncles, us amongst them, and even a few 2nd cousins. All total there were at least 45-50 of us.
The crowd mingled until the feast was on, and Oh What A Feast fit for Kings and Queens.
Since we also do not see Bill's side of the family as often as we wish, my favorite part of these small reunions is always the visiting. Seeing the new additions of babies and significant others, the kids themselves and their kids and their kids, is such a great time. There is a lot of catching-up, of each others lives, and stories of what happened to who, whether fun or not. But~~~~~~~
My Absolute favorite thing of these gatherings, is watching the lil cousins meet, sometimes, for the first time, and playing their hearts out. Who can resist a tire swing, and there were 2 of them.
What a great time everyone had, from swinging, visiting, young adult beer pong, even a lil' outhouse tipping, or attempting to scare the bejeebers outa a few old folks. Kids!
We sure had a great time. No one was hurt! No one walked away hungry, not with our nieces cooking. Our bellies and hearts were renewed with love, laughter and even a few tears.

Life is so good. Go out now, and find a reunion of your own. You will love every second of it.

BlessYourHearts

What a great post. Sounds like loads of fun and reunions are great, especially when folks cometogether from long distances, that really makes a reunion really special.

Take care now and enjoy the after glow of it all.

Love from NC
