Last Spring Causes Dream

The apple tree pictured, stands strong at the corner of the lawn at the farm where I grew up. It still stands today, welcoming the deer for a nibble and supplying applesauce on Mom's table. Even tho this particular one is still a youngster, amongst the many grown here, it has sparked a fabulous dream.

Have you ever had a dream so vivid, that you were nudged awake by the smells of your dream? That's what happened this morning. The scent of apple and cherry blossoms was so intense, it woke me.
I think I have been scouring through so many seed catalogs and dreaming so hard of spring, that it just overcame my senses. That was a wonderful way to rise, tho., so no complaints.

Our cherry trees, do give us the best scents across the field with the slightest breeze. It is one thing that welcomes me home after a long walk down the road. Ahhh, the smell of spring. What a sweet way to begin a day.

For a reality check, it's snowing out and we have winter storm watches with heavy snowfalls in the forecast. It is no surprise, for we always get at least one wet and heavy snowfall every March. So it goes when we choose to live in a piece of God's country in Northcentral WI. Spring does promise to come, so we wait in anticipation of the ' scents ' of it.

Have a happy-dance day and
BlessYourHearts

Sure reminds me of Spring, and homemade applesauce, now that's something. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Now, that's a beautiful sight! I think that everyone is yearning for Spring now. Well, except maybe for those stinkers further South who already have it.

We had apple trees at my childhood home too. Tons of apple sauce, apple slices frozen for pies and crumbles throughout the winter...

What a neat dream (smellavision) to have!

I can so relate to the dreaming deal. I have had a bunch this winter where my yard was transformed only to wake up and want to jump back in to the dream. Great post!

What a great way to wake up. It's cherry pink and apple blossom white when you are in love! I loved that song and the trumpet in it. I enjoyed plaaying it when I could hear.

I love a 'real' dream.
Thanks for a great read today!

Brings back memories of the blossoming fruit trees in my Gram & Paps back fence row. I have been dreaming while looking at the new seed catalogs. Makes you want to order every thing. Hope your snow melts fast. Blessings! Lara

That is an awesome sight. Here I was thinking Spring had sprung for you.
Are trees are budding up and the Bradford pears are just a few days from such a grand display. Can't wait.

Applesauce from ones own apple tree...brings back memories...my Mom used to bring apples to make applesauce years ago...the tree is long gone now...those apples made the best applesauce I've ever eaten. What a sweet way to wake...with the smell of fruit blossoms in your nose!

The apple tree in blossom is very, very pretty. How nice to be able to pick apples and cherries from your very own trees. We have a few blueberry bushes in our back yard. It is wonderful to go outside in the morning and pick blueberries to put in the morning's cereal.

We may be getting another winter storm as well. As it is in your neck of the woods, it is not unusual for Western PA to see significant snowfall in March.

Thank you for your comforting comment on my blog. And yes, I am a firm believer in the 3's. That is as it has been proven in my family.
