Packer Melon, Chocolate & Peanut Butter

Did you watch the Play-Offs over the weekend....we have a Packer Smile on our faces and are thirsting for Packer Melon to bring-it-on with for the upcoming Sunday game between the rivals, The Green Bay Packers and The Chicago Bears...it is going to be a fun game to watch, no matter the outcome. To honor our green and gold team, a southern WI melon grower, developed the Packer Melon, It's only right. Go...Go Pack Go!
And in honor of my sister Mel of UpNorthWithMel, and friend Jack of Shipslog, a bit of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing for your birthdays...Happy Birthday you two!
Go on over and wish them a Happy Birthday. I guarantee you will enjoy their blogs. Both are informative, loving, sarcastic, supportive, funny, fun to be around. I forewarn, they are contagious.
Thanks for stopping and have yourself a grand day.

Good morning Dar. Just read your response on my blog about the snow cream. Wow! You do have ample snow for making snow cream. Here's how I did it. Fresh snow in a large bowl. Add one or two tablespoons of vanilla (according to taste). Add a can of evaporated milk. Add two to three cups of sugar. Begin stirring. Add a cup of regular milk. (plain or chocolate). Stir. Stir. Stir until mixture blends - but don't let it get too thin. Adding milk slowly as you stir gets the mixture just right. If you want to see how I made it, go to YouTube to my channel, Fred Alton Brannen's channel. (FredAltonBrannen) and then type in Snow Cream. Your grandloves (and you) will love it. I promise.

Thanks Darla, I licked the monitor, I could smell the cake. I was attempting to eat it, But since it was chocolate, sherry beat me to it. hahahahaha

Good entry. What is this Packer thing everone is talking about? LOL

My dad being a pastor, when asked his political persuasion by a parishoner, would always answer, "I am what ever you are!"

So I hope YOUR team wins. I'm for 'em!

Choco cake w/ pnut frosting is my fave! Yum... I never had one of those gold watermelons ~ I imagine they rank right up there with the red ones; which I love. Thanks for the bday wishes.

Awww...aren't you sweet to remember others birthdays! Have you ever posted your recipe for the peanut butter frosting? If you haven't, would you please consider it. I remember that chocolate cake you posted a picture (and recipe) of a while back. I need to make that again.

Blessings to you, dear Dar,
Dianna
