Hand Painted Ornaments

For those of you who have already seen these for the 'umteenth' time, thank you for your patience and understanding as I share with others.

Years ago, before my hands became so numb, I painted these wonderful ornaments based on a borrowed idea. I saw these ornaments that were painted to look like birch barked tops, and thought, Hmm, I can do that.

The paintings are some of the birds and animals that we see out of our own windows throughout the year. The Bald Eagle, Chickadee, Evening Grossbeak, Black Bear, White-tail Deer, White-tail Fawn, Moose, left of the Snowshoe Rabbit, the Cardinal and Cougar, are just a few. Yes, we have them all, and wish we could see them every day.

I hope you enjoy some of these gifts outside of your windows as well.

Merry Christmas and
BlessYourHearts

Dar, your paintings are exquisite! I would love to be able to paint again. As a teen-ager I studied Art in school for 3 straight years, plus took private lessons but have never produced anything near that quality! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Thanks all of you, for the compliments. I have a love for it, but never a lesson. It's inherited from my Dad who was a wonderful artist and writer...if I could only do him justice, it makes me happy. He was my teacher.

I have come close to saying a bad word, this thing has started and stopped five or six times. But now that I am here I want to tell you that is a lot of bragging on the painting, and justly so. I love the personalization of the ornaments. I know the family look forwartd to them every Christmas. Lovely entry from the WILD country By the WILD ONE!

Great job Dar. We were so blessed to have Dad as one of our teachers, and to still have Mom as our other. Together they covered all the bases as they provided us with our wonderful childhoods.

One Christmas eve, a pre Christmas eve service, we had a station to paint the baubles. I did one, and it is the same color as yours. I must look for it.
