I haven't changed the batteries in this ol' cabin clock for years. Who watches the time on R & R time?
This beauty came back from Germany in 1969. It still keeps time but not while 'wee fingers' can reach the chains.
These just need to be tossed.
My Little Ben, or replica, has been around for ages too. Does that mean it's time for this ol gal to admit she's about to become near ancient? No sir'ree.. I have at least 40 more yrs. to go if I'm going out at Grandma B's age of a month shy of 102.
This craftsmans mantel clock was carved by my uncles Grandfather over 100 yrs. ago. It reminds me of my cookoo clock. Pretty cool, huh?
Anyone living in my hometown, WI, is very familiar with this handsome clock. I have not heard its 'mark the hour' for over 20 some yrs. though. It sits on top of the papermill office. New ownership says they are going to get it fixed. It will be a beautiful day of celebration.
With good intent, I will be turning my clocks ahead Sat. night. You all who live in the time zones that do the same, DON'T FORGET TO SPRING FORWARD!!!Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

DAR, THE ONLY ADVANTAGE I COULD EVER SEE TO DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME WAS IT GAVE MY GARDEN ONE MORE HOUR OF SUNLIGHT. sam
WEll, I have decided to spring forward when I see Spring!!!! hahahahaha! Loved the pictures and analagies. Amazing how many clocks we have to reset. Here in the motor home alone we have eight! Ofcourse some are on appliances, but still have to be reset less we miss some 'important' appointment. LOL. There are two more on the computers, but I think htye reset themselves.
I love the town clocks that do 'announce'.

You'll make it past Grandma B's age with your attitude. I've only heard one person say they like daylight savings time.
It's time alright...an hour extra in the evenings for gardening!!

We are totally exhausted by the time we get all the clocks reset. That is so cute the way you reminded us it was nearly time for a time change. My violets were treated for insect control and it is Systemic control for all houseplants.
Hi Dar, I'm like you... I hate the time changes. It takes my body days to get used to it... Why in the world do we do it???????
I am a clock person and have 3 very special chiming clocks in my home. I blogged about it once... Need to do it again sometime--since that blog was on my old Lightblog blog--which was all deleted. One of these days I'd love a grandfather clock (one of the old ones) that work... Love hearing the chimes.
I love yours especially the craftsman mantel clock made by your grandfather.. WOW!!!! How special is that... Love your German cuckoo clock... One of my big wall clocks came from Germany also.

I can't believe it is time to spring forward. It is amazing how one little hour can make such a difference.
Yes, tonight...er...tomorrow morning at 2am...is the time! Thank goodness my computer will remember to do it on its own but there sure are a ton of other clocks and timers to think about, aren't there?
I can't believe that time of year is already here. It takes me a few weeks to adjust, but I get used to it. I loved all the photos of the clocks! Have a great day!
Had one more point I needed to make about daylight savings time changes. My dog or my kids or the kids I babysat with did not know the time changed so they continued to get hungry and sleepy at the same time. Baby sitting kids 7 were 2 and under and those kids knew when it was their time to eat, and so did the dogs.. I say leave the time alone. How did we get by the rest of our lives before time change>
