Apparently, as I stepped out of the pick-up today to get Bill's prescription, I stepped awkward or some danged thing and pinched a nerve in my back....again. I can put my fingers right on the nasty ouch. It runs just beside the metal in my spine...
I did manage to eliminate most of the 'ta do' list I made this morning, in spite of the pain.
I have been through this sooo many times, that I know what to do, what to take, what NOT to take, (like that smooth brandy with the Aleve) ...don't get me wrong....I'm not a drinker, more like a single-whiffer, but today?....anyway....
I managed to put on a comforting supper for Bill of SourKraut and Pork Steaks with baked potatoes and homemade applesauce.
I got the buffet emptied and ready for when Bill got home from work, so he could help me mend what was broken...good thing I lifted the fully loaded drawers out BEFORE I went to the drug store.
It was way after 6 before I ate supper and finally put my feet up again....
Was I ever in for a surprise....with the weight finally off my feet, legs elevated, OMG...the pain in my foot...
That's right, my foot, as if the back wasn't bad enough...
The burn and agony....I didn't take the time to notice it was swollen even though I was limping. I'm so tired of doctoring over the years with my joints that I don't run in anymore. I tend to the problem myself...I pulled out the Volteran, rubbed it down, wrapped it just like a year ago, cause it is the exact same thing I did then....I re-tore the tendon that runs lengthwise on the outside of my foot....and then under the center........no wonder I couldn't get my boot off.
Why didn't I feel it?....very little feeling there anymore since the back surgery in '03...I seldom know I hurt myself until I see it., this time, I finally sat down and noticed the swelling lil toes and leg....I was on it all afternoon, the Aleve was helping target the pain until I sat down...then the 'burn' started up my upper foot where there IS feeling....we will see how it looks and feels tomorrow...along with my back...........
Now, I need a new 'paint job' on those toenails....pitiful excuse for a lady.....LOL

Wow you've got lots of ouchies. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
I'm so sorry, Dar, that you are having so many physical problems right now. Please rest tomorrow and stay off your foot. One day won't hurt while you are waiting on spring to arrive.
We saw several robins this evening and the song birds are singing every morning now...spring is on its way!
Ouch, I bet that hurts.
Hope the swelling goes down soon.
Would'nt it be best to have it checked over tho?
OMGOSH!!Joint issues must go with our name...take it easy!!!
Rest up today Dar, so you can start afresh tomorrow.
Sometimes a body just needs to rejuvenate.
Hope ya heal soon - good time to look at some of
your country style catalogs. Or help Mom with a puzzle.
I just sent a new one home with Mel for her... I'm sure she'd
enjoy your help.
Take care and be careful...Tell Willy to cook for you tonight!
He's a good cook too!
Love ya, me
WISH I KNEW WHAT TO SAY TO BE A HELP. OH YES, I AM ASKING THE GREATEST PHYSICIAN TO JOIN IN THE HEALING.
CANNOT GO WRONG WITH LUKE 1 VERSE 37, IF MEMORY IS CORRECT. IT SEEMS THAT SOMETIMES HE LETS US BEAR THE PAIN.
I PRAY FOR LESS PAIN ON YOU .
SOME OF THAT HOME-MADE APPLE SAUCE WOULD HELP ME TO FORGET SOME PAIN AT LEAST FOR A WHILE. sam
Luke 1, verse 37...:For with God, nothing shall be impossible.
Thanks Sam...I'm not sure that is the verse you were thinking of but I do know that we are given daily challenges and hurts so we remember to turn to Him...you're a good man, Sam and thanks for the encouragement...if you were my next door neighbor, I'd share my homemade applesauce.
Blessings
Them's purty toes!!!!
So sorry to hear of the hurt! We do hope it is better soon. A whole ago, Sherry looks over at me and says I forgot to get my prescriptin filled. Now I remember she had this blog up I remember the ice. So you reminded her. WE had both forgotten, Thanks. (It helps to read these blogs!)
TAke care and hope all is well soon.
Sherry & Jack with love from NC.
You remind me of that old saying "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"
It's too damp and yucky to be outside, so sit and put your feet up at least til the weather clears.
