Sweet Williams

I love all flowers for their immense beauty,
Most sweetly scented, but some downright offensive,
But one of my favorite blooms is still the
Nearly Un-scented Sweet William.
They simply surround you with their tiny eyes.
Their blooms can be seen from a distance if
They are sporting their spring jackets.

I'm not sure why
But I'm overwhelmed this morning.
My Sweet William is far from opening.
I await.

BlessYourHeart

After this arctic blast has passed, we will have more flowers! It happens every year. ☺ Keep smiling through it all.

We all know what it is to wait for the blooms, some much more than others. I dare say, if I lived in North Wisconsin Winters, I would BE WAITING ANXIOUSLY for a Bloom!!

Love you girl!@!!

Sweet William reminds me of phlox--such a pretty plant.

Pretty! Speaking of the smell or lack of in wild flowers. We have wild morning glories here that give off a terrible odor when we trim the vines but I leave them because they are pretty blooming.

so very pretty...seems like it has been forever long since we have seen a flower around here...with all the 107 to 110 degree days this past summer plus the drought, nothing has lived much less bloomed around here since last June. Hopefully this will be a better year..Thanks for sharing the beauty..

As you are waiting for your sweet williams to open, just look into the eyes of your personal "Sweet William" to pass the time.
