Reflecting <:) Ready :( Respite

Bring on the sunshine! Breakfast on the deck was cool but promises a warm day in the mid to upper 70's. Who could ask for more. If you look closely, you can see my garden is on the rise. I think baked bread would be a great way to celebrate!By the deck door, is a basket full of sun and bug protection. There are GrandLoves here all summer from time to time, so being prepared to protect their tender skin, and ours, is a must. The pool goes up!
No theme today, just random pics of last night while reading a garden magazine. Hey, who's that sitting in MY chair? Click on any picture for a closer look-see.
The patio table has a low arrangement so we can visit without moving it. The Blue Lobelia and the Yellow/Orange Viola look pretty together and besides, the Viola smell Soooo Sweet! No wonder the bees love them .
I noticed that the Salvia is starting to bud. I love these. They will mature to a tall deep purple spike that lasts at least a month. I then, dead-head them, ( cut them off, ) and they will show off again in the early fall. These sit next to the cedar swing and in front of the Phlox. Sweet scents of summer.
The Raspberry Succulents are coming along nicely. I had almost given up on them and here they came right back. My succulent garden is changing daily. This morning, I notice flowers on some of them...maybe I will show them to you soon. It's so exciting when you find plants that love the sand and the heat reflecting off their southern exposure.
It's going to be a laid-back day for me. I overdid it in the flowerbeds yesterday, and need ' respite ' today. I don't know how I will handle that, since I cannot stand idle hands. Maybe a little house cleaning. OR, maybe if I water my planters and the garden, it will rain.

That's it for today, folks. Find something good in your every day and
BlessYourHeart

Thanks for the wonderful tour! Your garden looks great and HUMMINGBIRDS! I love hummingbirds. We've had such cool summers we haven't had many the last few years. Thanks for swinging by and sitting on my porch. You don't have to bring the bug stuff as that is the nice thing about the Black Hills, very few mosquitos.
