Longer Days, Longer Shadows, A Peek

Awww, finally! Along with the longer days, come longer shadows,
Blue sky melt-down.Look Grandma, Mud for mudpies...oh my!
But this is what made my day...
Along the south end of the garage, getting daily sunshine and melted snows, look what I found. My sedum have survived our harsh winter and have already begun to protest the cold. That is new growth under the protection of last years leaves. I'm new with sedum so may have their names mixed up, but~~~~here goes. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Sedum Album Laconicum
Sedum Elizabeth
Sedum Green Mantle

Sedum Red CarpetSedum SaxangularWooly Thyme....not a sedum but smells so good when stepped on. I'm not sure this one is eatable., so if anyone knows, please comment.
I'd love to write so much more, but, therapy awaits and so does my suitcase. We finally are getting away for the weekend.

You all have a wonderful one. It looks like sunshine and warmth in my piece of the world. My prayers for you on the west coast and Hawaii as well as Japan....stay safe rather than worrying about protecting your homes. Homes can be rebuilt, your lives are here once. Stay safe.

This guy will take your word for thge plant names. I certainly don't know them, I just love to look at them. Especially after the snow. I can imagine how it must feel to see some sign of spring after a harsh WI winter.

Love you guys.

You couldn't prove it by me if you said a wrong name for a plant. They are all pretty.

You have bare ground showing? Lucky you. But the geese have started to arrive here so it must be coming our way soon too.

I have a hunch that by the time you get home from Darcie's your sedum will once again be covered in snow. It's coming down in your neck of the woods as well as mine again.

A vacation! How nice! The signs of growth on your sedums are encouraging. I love the way sedums spread. My tulips are starting to poke through the ground. But there is still more snow to come. Is is only April.
