Sweet Williams

The Sweet William are one of my most loved flowers. It is one of my first promises of more blooms to come of all colors, scents, and eye-quenching, for the spring.
It also happens to be a favorite for it's name. My Sweet William is the love of my life. I'm sure some of you consider this corny, but it's the truth.
My first plant came as a housewarming gift from a neighbor, 30 yrs. ago when we first moved into our home. That very first plant is the sweet william that has survived through our drought these past 7 yrs. Pray for rain.

God Bless You All

What a beautiful color that Sweet William is...and what a beautiful sentiment that you shared. Isn't it amazing how that first one is the only one that has survived the drought for 7 years. Special flower...special lady! :)

As I finally proof read this post...I think it might be confusing...when I referred to My Sweet William, I mean my DH, not the plant...LOL...what a morning so far.

Okay, I'm confused. This Sweet William stuff has got to stop! Paula down in Texas saw him running all over a field down there. He must be behind the plant on this blog, because that is all I can see in the picture is the flower. Is he streaking or something? LOL

I really never heard the name 'Sweet William' until yesterday on Paula's blog. I must live under a rock, if two people know and I don't! LOL Sherry admits she also is a little ignorant (but only about Sweet William).

WE are truly happy for you, that you have the love of your life, so many do not. So congratulations on both your 'Sweet Williams'. Hope the one continues to live, and the other continues to do so also, and loves you back!!!!

I would gladly send you rain if I could. We are sure getting our share of it after a 3 year drought. I am enjoying going down memory lane with you. The story on sheep is so heart warming. Bless your parents for opening up their sheep farm to the wonders of school children.

Hi Dar, what a neat post... Love the Sweet William. And---I am so glad that this one has managed to stay with you for so many years. That is so special!!!!! I can understand your sentiments.

We are having a wonderful time in Arkansas, but it is passing much too quickly... We've had great weather --which is nice considering the fact that it is snowing at home.

Hugs,
Betsy

I've never tried to grow Sweet William, but it sure is beautiful!
If I had a recipe for the panhaus, I'd share it. But it's one of those recipes you just make with out measurments.
And casings . . . how funny as your verification word! Especially since stuffing is part of your blog.
