I have heard That geese mate for life, did not know about doves. Is that why they are the love birds?
I am always intrigued by your knowledge of the wild or out doors. I love to read, I feel close to your thoughts as they unfold.

And I never heard of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. I would have probably been as shocked to see one as I was to see a Green Jay in TExas.
Thanks!jack69https://www.blogger.com/profile/12884137603402812926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007559723933823460.post-23142615806669258102010-06-16T11:56:00.137-05:002010-06-16T11:56:00.137-05:00Glad to hear you are getting that much-needed rain...Glad to hear you are getting that much-needed rain! One of the best things is to watch the change come gently but steadily over the cold starkness of the naked forest and see them take on (at first) little signs of greening - then the buds and blooms until full maturity comes to the land. BTW - the birds at the cabin here - one on the back porch was the Carolina Phoebe (black and white type of wren) and the house wren on the front porch (rusty brown in color).Fred Altonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12740055638280779519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007559723933823460.post-6722826550064090582010-06-15T23:01:53.463-05:002010-06-15T23:01:53.463-05:00Oh Dar....
